Up date on Jeanneau supply issues and plans

Stock Update from Jeanneau

We are still seeing our partners at Jeanneau suffering with supply issues of parts and raw materials to make and complete boats in build at their factories across Europe. The supply chain has been interrupted in part due to covid restrictions reducing supply and global demand reducing availability of materials. We still expect to see this issue to continue across the group and with other manufactures for the next few months.

Price update

We have seen two price increases in 8 weeks in response to the cost of parts and materials increasing. This with rapid inflation has meant a 5% followed by a 7% increase on new boats in the Outboard sector alone. The new prices will be set now for all orders placed before August but be aware there is very little stock available for next season and in places only one model has been allocated per dealer for the whole of next season. Popular boats such as the Merry Fisher 895 and 795 are almost sold out now for 2022 so make sure you order now. The good news is that all boats will presumably continue to go up in value as seen this season and this is due to the price increases and the continued lack of availability.

Availability

Simply put there is hardly any boats available for next year. Demand has been the cause and when in past years you would expect to go to the Southampton Boat Show to make plans for upgrading or buying for the following season, this year the show will have a fantastic display but most ranges will be sold out. So you can still do the planning, but orders will have to be for 2023 on some models due the limited stock for 2022.

Future Plans

So Jeanneau have a few new boats planned for launch at the Southampton: the new Cap Camarat 7.5 and the new Sport range of Merry Fishers (formerly known as the Marlin) will have a new 795 Sport. There is also talk of a new range of sports cruiser to be launch in 2022 but this is still under wraps. The New Cap Camarat 10.5 WA will be on display at the show on the 10th September but we only have one available for next year so call ASAP if you want to reserve this hull.

Offers

We still offer the lowest rates on Brokerage so if you are planing to upgrade speak to us about selling with our brokerage offer of just 5 %, we have customers waiting so we can secure you the best price in this sellers market.

We still have 3 berths available at out main office in Plymouth with new boat purchases so ask us when you order if you can take advantage of these berths as berths are sold out in most of the marina here in the SW.

Market trend

We expect the market to continue to grow strongly in the South West with the population migration to live in Devon and Cornwall set to increase. So if your waiting for the bubble to burst

before buying your first or next boat then don't wait. Buy or order now as it will be cheaper in the long run. Prices will go up time will run out.
